Graduate Students: Apply Now for the AIBS 2006 Emerging Public Policy Leader Award

AIBS is now accepting applications for the 2006 Emerging Public Policy Leader Award, an opportunity for graduate students in the biological sciences to receive firsthand experience in the policy arena.

AIBS will pay travel costs and expenses for the award recipient to attend a Biological and Ecological Sciences Coalition Congressional Visits Day (CVD) in Washington, DC, 22–23 March 2006. CVD participants will attend briefings by key government officials, as well as receptions honoring federal legislators for their work on behalf of biology; they will also participate in meetings with members of Congress and their staff.

The deadline to apply is 5:00 p.m. (EST) on Friday, 3 February 2006. For more details and application materials, please visit  www.aibs.org/announcements/051201_aibs_emerging_public_policy.html.
